Seven years ago I woke up to a media message of a newborn baby. While I was sleeping my sister had given birth to my niece Elsie Jane. She came in with a bang and has been a spit fire ever since. Every year I do portrait sessions for the nieces that live here in CT. I always include their interests each year. This year Elsie loves books and ice cream so we went to West Hartford Center, where there are both. Her outfit consisted of a pink dress from H&M and silver hightops, that displayed her girly yet sporty side. We started the session at the library which has a really great children’s floor. We ended the day with chocolate ice cream (her favorite flavor) at Ben and Jerry’s, and since we were the only ones there she was comfortale enough to get some fun shots. Happy Birthday Elsie Jane….
