It’s the most wonderful time of the year…. I love Christmas time. Bring on the eggnog, cookies, red cups, light displays. Christmas has some of the best music and movies. I get to spend quality time with my loved ones and eat yummy food. If I am honest though, I love gifts. I love seeing the look of joy on someone’s face after they unwrap their newest treasure (or a new item to exchange). When I took The Five Love Languages quiz it was a surprise to no one that gift giving was mine.
Now, this blog is not me trying to get new goodies, though they wouldn’t be rejected ;). I just thought that my love for Christmas and photography would be a great foundation for this list. I have provided links for each gift idea. Most of the links are through Amazon because Prime is life.

Memory Cards
Back in the spring, I went to a workshop in NYC and when I received my bracelet and they handed me a 62GB memory card. I reacted, as well as the other photographers as if I had just won the lottery. They are very valuable, which leads me to my next gift idea.

Memory Card Holder
My mom gave me a memory card holder last Christmas, and this thing is a life saver. I am not the most organized individual, but items like this that help me feel like I am. Try to get one that allows your favorite photographer to put CF cards and SD cards to make sure all of the bases are covered.
3. Coffee Gift Cards
Before every wedding or family session, you can find me in the drive-thru of Dunkin or Starbucks, and if I have time the counter of a local coffee shop. If they don’t like coffee maybe the next gift idea will work.
4. Gas Cards
I travel a lot as a photographer, and even though I charge for travel, a gas card would still come in handy.
5. Snacks
Because who doesn’t appreciate snacks
6. Rechargeable Batteries
My flashes, while I am at weddings, suck up battery power like Dwight K Shrute sucks up to Michael Scott. The struggle is real so having extra AA batteries can be a lifesaver.
7. Stationery
Even though the internet is king there is nothing like receiving a personal note. Having extra stationery is great to have to make my business more personal.
8. Business Card Holder
Having a separate place to put business cards is a good way to know where they are instead of a photographer having to search to the bottom his or her bag to hopefully find one.
9. Small Journal
Creativity is not a respecter of an environment. Having a small journal let’s the active mind of the photographer jot down his or her latest idea.
10. Portable Memory Card Reader
It’s the gift the photographer (especially wedding) in your life will love you forever for. Trust me.
The list can go on and on, but I think these are definite winners.
I Just want to wish you and your family a Merry Christmas … May it be the best one yet
