Meet Will and Tonia
Before getting into the Saville Dam engagement session I have to say, growing up in the 90s was the best. First, we had Saturday morning cartoons like Muppet Babies and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Next, we played the original Mario Kart on Super Nintendo. Most important, we had some amazing sports dynasties. From the Cowboys (who haven’t won a super bowl since the nineties) to the Yankees (woohoo), but you can’t think about 90s sports without thinking about the Bulls.
Thinking about the Bulls makes me think about Will and Tonia because their story started in Chicago, and Will is a basketball coach. It was only fitting that we take pictures with a basketball at their engagement session at the Old Drake Bridge. They also wore Chicago hoodies to symbolize their start.

Sadly the Old Drake Bridge will be shut down to the public very soon. It is a good thing we took their engagement pictures when they did. The bridge with its classic feel was the perfect backdrop for the first part of the session. With a more casual feel, this is where they wore their Chicago hoodies. The hoodies came in handy because this session took place in the middle of February,

After a quick change into some fancier clothes, we continued the engagement session at the Saville Dam. Tonia had noticed this location on a drive with her daughter. This location was stunning wide view at sunset. The blue and orange sky complimented their pink and blue outfits. Will and Tonia were such troopers as the sun faded and the cold air grew intense.
I can not wait for their wedding in September not just because it will be much warmer, but because it is also my parent’s 40th anniversary.
Til next time …
