Welcome Back GEM Photography

A little known fact about me I grew up in Meriden, CT. I had walked in the Daffodil parade as a kid, played at Cepa Field, and have walked up to Castle Craig. So when Latisha of BluuRibbon Events asked me to collaborate at the Silver City Ballroom in Meriden for a styled shoot I gladly said yes. Truly it felt like going home. We even ate dinner from Illianos, a pizza place I enjoyed as a teenager.

About The Venue- Silver City Ballrooom Meriden CT

Before I tell you about the shoot let me tell you about the venue. You can find the Silver City Ballroom in downtown Meriden. This venue is a refurbished bank highlighted by the vault right in the front of the dance floor. Second, the venue has various lounge areas. You can find these areas decorated with contemporary furniture. But don’t let the look of furniture fool you the seating is quite comfortable.

About the Styled Shoot

Latisha of Bluu Ribbon Events and Stephanie of Adoro Paper Elegance were the brains behind this shoot. So they are the ones to thank for this shoot. Inspired by Valentine’s day these women put together a shoot with red, black, and gold details. For example, you can see that through the pink and dresses provided by Jacqueline Bridal Kouture. You can certainly see the vision come to life with the red and gold cake provided by Sparkling Cakes.
