Tyler and Alyssa’s Country Club Wedding
Tyler and Alyssa met the old fashion way: In person. They met each other in college. After years of being in the friend zone, they took that leap and the rest is history. They are a great reminder of friendship is a great foundation for marriage. You could see this throughout the wedding day at the Tunxis Country Club.
Meet Tyler and Alyssa
Tyler and Alyssa are such a sweet couple. Actually, they are just really sweet people. Easy going is their middle name. They handled the horrific thunderstorm that arrived with grace. We had to adjust the photos due to the storm and they just rolled with the punches. Like I said earlier, they have such a beautiful friendship.
The Wedding Day Details
The Wedding Venue- Tunxis Country Club
The Tunxis Country Club holds its weddings in the pavilion behind the golf course. The fairy light lit pavilion is in the middle of the woods. This jewel is perfect for brides, like Alyssa, who want that rustic feel. If you love the outdoors this venue may be the one for you.
Getting Ready
Alyssa and Tyler did their getting ready at the venue. The bright and airy bridal suite was the perfect backdrop for the girls getting ready photos. As Beyonce played in the background, the girls got their hair done by the fabulous Upstyle.
My favorite part of the getting ready portion was Alyssa’s first look with her bridesmaids. They had such joy on their faces, as she came out in her stunning wedding gown. I also loved getting a smiling shot of Alyssa’s nephew, who spent a good portion of the getting ready portion refusing to look happy.
The Ceremony
All of us were aware of the severe storm heading that way. We just weren’t when. And low and behold it showed up as the vows begin. We have all heard the old wives’ tale rain is good luck. If that’s the truth Alyssa and Tyler have some luck to spare. Tyler and Alyssa were not phased one bit.
The Reception and Send-Off
The rain stopped during the reception. The guests were able to dance the night away in cool weather. The wedding was during Fourth of July weekend so of course there was a sparkler exit. Even though we had to do it in the parking lot, because a forest fire was not on the itinerary, it was the perfect end to a great day.
