Will & Tonia
WIll and Tonia’s beautiful fall New Haven wedding was a day filled with joy and love. Not only was the weather perfection, but the day shined with their love and friendship. I believe every wedding reveals a couple’s journey in the loveliest way. This wedding was no different. It truly was an honor to help tell that story.
Will and Tonia’s New Haven Wedding
Mr. and Mrs. Douglas were married on a stunning fall day. The day started with getting ready at a hotel near the church. In the midst of it all, they exchanged gifts that meant so much to each other. There was laughing, singing, and most importantly people who helped shaped who they are as individuals.
Fun Fact: They were married on my parents’ 40th wedding anniversary… (they went away so I am not a terrible daughter for working that day)
The ceremony performed by their beloved pastor Bishop Theodore Brooks. The highlight was when Will surprised Tonia with a song. The look of surprise and delight on Tonia’s face was one for the books.
After the ceremony, we headed to Yale University to do their formal couple portraits and then the venue for the other formals. Portraits were followed by a reception with energetic Larnell Satchell.
New Haven Wedding Vendors
The vendors for this wedding were top notch. Before the wedding, the guests received stunning invitations from Opari. The ladies were glammed up by the talented Ashlee of Levels Hair Lounge. The bridesmaids looked fabulous in their dresses from Blush Bridesmaids. Tonia was a vision in her Maggie Sottero gown from Mariella Creations. Let’s not forget her bling from Kay Jewelers. The classic display of flowers were styled by Flowers by Danielle. The reception was held at Cascades in Hamden, which provided great service thanks to Rosa. Fun was had by all in the photo booth provided by Alter Ego and the stunning cake was provided by J Cakes.
And last but not least photography was provided by yours truly
