Megan and Eric’s Fox Hopyard Golf Club Wedding will probably go down as one of my top ten weddings. I love all my couples and have fond memories for every single one, but I dont even know where to start when it comes to this wedding.
I booked them in the most modern day way possible: I slipped into Megan’s DM… Now I know I sound like a creeper, but I will say that most wedding vendors google couples when they recieve an inquiry. One, because the scam game is real. Second, you want to see if the couple is a good fit… I noticed on Megan’s Facebook profile that she was a teacher, and if you know about GEM there is a special program designed just for teachers and I thought Megan would be a good fit. Fun fact, Megan was the first teacher to book a GEM Loves Teachers wedding…
These two have been a pleaseure to work with over the last year and their wedding was no different. This small wedding consisted of their immediate family and very close friends, which helped the day run smoothly and relaxed. From start to finish it was as close to perfect as a weding can get.
The day started with some getting ready photos and details highlighted by Eric’s Captain America cuff links. Though I share my love for teaching with Megan I share my love of Marvel with Eric. After getting ready we jumped into the golf cart driven with “passion” by Megan’s brother Ryan and headed to a private spot for their first look.
The first look was followed by a portrait session of them in the middle of the Fox Hopyard golf course. The pop of color from the flowers by Elise Floral and the beautiful cathedral veil were the perfect complimant to Eric’s blue tux and Megan’s Paloma Blanca gown.
After a sweet first look with her dad, family formals, and bridal party photos they were able to relax before the ceremony. This is why I love first looks. It allows the rest of the day to be a little more relaxed. The ceremony was offciated by the groom’s best man Brandon and featured readings by the Matron of Honor Laura and the groom’s father Michael.
Since there was a first look and photos before the ceremony we didn’t need much time for the rest of the family formals which allowed more time for the couple to hangout with their guests. The reception was laid back and fun just like Megan and Eric… The night ended by some stunning sunset photos where Eric wore his Yankee colored sneakers (his words not mine).
And now the photos
