About Hiram and Maggie’s Mansion at Bald Hill Wedding
Mr. and Mrs. Torres are married!!! Thanks to the love of this beautiful couple and some flexibility on everyone’s part the Mansion at Bald Hill wedding went beautifully. The forecast called for 70% rain, and it felt like it rained about that much. Looking out the window was a gamble because it would either be sunny or pouring. When you see the photos below you won’t be able to tell. Like my last three weddings I had, bad weather was in the forecast but thanks to my “magic” I was able to capture the day.
I remember my initial phone call with Maggie and Hiram very well. It was at a gas station down the street from Harkness Memorial State Park. I literally sat at the pump the whole lol. We clicked right away from our shared faith and mutual friends. About a month later we had their engagement session at Harkness.
I started the wedding day at The Inn at Woodstock Hill in the little cottage. The girls were ready to go thanks to the beauty team being done on time. After capturing Maggie’s details, we headed to a room upstairs to take those Pinterest-inspired pajamas shots. While this was taking place, my second shooter Ashley took care of the guys getting ready photos at the Mansion at Bald Hill mansion. (I wasn’t there but based on the photos it was a good time) Paige (maid of honor) and Monica (Step-Mother) helped Maggie get into her beautiful lace dress and cute jeweled flats.
Following tearful first looks with Maggie’s dad Erich and the couple, we got a lot of photos done before the ceremony. The ceremony performed by Hiram’s dad Daniel was centered around family and their faith. The ceremony was done in English and Spanish, they sang a hymn with their guests, and Hiriams dad played them a song on his trumpet before Maggie’s dad gave her away, while she held her flower bouquet with a piece of her deceased mom’s wedding gown. There was also a ring pop ceremony with the best man Luan and the ring bearer.
After the ceremony, thanks to the first look the bride and groom were able to enjoy their cocktail hour with their friends and family. They kicked off the reception with a choreographed dance to the song Tu Vida en la Mía. Maggie’s dad welcomed every and the toasts from the best man and the maid of honor went without a hitch thanks to translators.
We snuck out to take some sunset photos and then ate from the Mansion at Bald Hill’s buffet. The dinner was followed by parent dances, which included a touching speech from Hiram’s mom Jeanette. Then everyone danced the night away.
