Mike and Libby’s fall mansion wedding, at the Mansion at Bald Hill, is a wedding I’ll never forget. I knew they would have a fun wedding based on how much we laughed at their engagement session. Like their engagement session the weather was a dream as well.

Not only were the fall leaves in their glory, but the weather was perfect. It wasn’t too hot or cold, which if you have ever spent time in New England in October it can be cold and windy or 75 degrees. In fact, as I type this blog it is raining and chilly. Now don’t worry I am not here to talk about the weather in this entire blog post but it did play a part in this wedding.

We started the day with some getting-ready photos where the guys did staged photos in the reception building while the girls got ready in the mansion’s bridal suite. While getting a few detail shots I was able to get a few BTS shots of the girls’ newest Tik Tok video. This was followed by first looks with the bridesmaids, Libby’s dad, and the two of them.

Michael and Libby had a private first look, but based on the photos even if they had their entire family and bridal party in the background I don’t think they would have noticed. Mike’s reaction is one that people put on their Pinterest boards. (I don’t love Pinterest recreation because I love authentic photos) I tried to give them space so I didn’t hear all of the adoration Mike had for his bride but I could tell how sweet it was thanks to my long lens.

Following the formal portraits with the couple, the bridal party, and their immediate family members the couple hid for the ceremony while I captured their reception details. The tables were decorated with photos of their dog as well as the cake topper.

The ceremony, which was performed by a close friend showed the union of the two families, with the reading of the Art of Marriage by Mike’s dad and a unity candle ceremony lit by Libby’s mom and Mike’s stepmom. Shout out to the guest for listening to the officiant’s message in the beginning, because I did not notice a single photo in my shots.

Thanks to the first look and all of the photos taken pre-ceremony they were able to spend a significant time with their guests during their cocktail hour. It was during the cocktail hour I heard my name spoken by a guest. Come to find out it was my kindergarten teacher Mr. Macri. Now, I as a woman won’t reveal my age but the fact I was recognized by a teacher that had me at 5 years was really neat. My former art teacher was there as well and pulled me aside during the reception.

Following the sunset photos, the party was pulled into high gear with their choreographed two-step to I Want Crazy. The first dance was followed by smiley parent dances, charming toasts, and group shots with their alma maters. Then it was on and poppin.
