Raina’s 6 Fall Essentials

fall essentials blog

Now I usually only talk about photography-type things on this blog, but this New England girl is so pumped that the weather is starting to cool that I had to share my five fall essentials. If you live in New England and look outside you can see the leaves starting to change. The cooler air hasn’t arrived quite yet but it’s no longer 90 degrees. Tomorrow is the first day of fall and to quote the Pointer Sisters (or Jessie Spano), I’m so excited!!!!

1. A Good Hoodie

If you came over between late September till early April, you will find a drawer full of hoodies. Now not all hoodies are the same. There are some with fleece lining and some with kangaroo pouch. My favorite hoodies are the ones I got for Costco in three colors last year. They actually have some new colors this year that I will be adding to my collection.

2. A Fall Scented Candle

I don’t think you can have a list of fall essentials without mentioning candles. I have seen countless social media posts this time of year from friends and acquaintances with the typical time to break out the fall candles caption. I have two candles that I have to burn every year this time… White Pumpkin from Marshalls/TJMaxx and Pumpkin Pecan Waffles from Bath and Body Works.

3. A Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew

If you had asked me a couple of years ago, I would have said a classic PSL from Starbucks was my fall essential beverage, but last year that all changed. The Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew pushed the PSL to the side… It’s not too sweet, and it is just plain delicious.. I have not tried the copycat from Dunkin so I can’t tell you which is better… If I try it I’ll let you know in my Insta Stories.

4. Direct TV NFL Sunday Ticket

As many of you know I am a pretty big sports fan… My football team is rebuilding and not much fun to watch, but I still love spending my Sundays watching every single game. Without Sunday Ticket that is impossible.. I am not just a fan of the Giants I am a fan of the game, Sunday Ticket is a fall essential.

5. A Cozy Blanket

I got my hoodie on, my football on the tv, my candle burning, and I am sipping on my Pumpkin Crem Cold Brew. The only thing missing is a nice cozy blanket. In the fall I like a thin soft blanket. I feel it’s not cold enough for a heavy chunky blanket. You can find these blankets practically anywhere.

6. A Pair of Black Leggings

I am all about being cute but I am also about comfort. On most fall days (when I am not shooting weddings) you will find me in a pair of black leggings, a hoodie, and a pair of Uggs knock-offs. If I feel like upping the cute factor I will replace the hoodie with a cute flannel.

Now I know there are other fall essentials that you think I missed but these are my top picks. These are essentials, not favorites 😉 That list would take a long time and I have editing to do.
